About the Creative Team
The Mark & Graham Creative team brings our brand story to life across every customer touchpoint, including site, catalog, email, social, digital marketing, and beyond. As leader of the Creative team, you will translate each season’s big ideas into compelling, on-brand campaigns that inspires our customer, creates desire for our products, and reinforces Mark & Graham as a destination for thoughtful gifting and personalization.
We’re a collaborative, ideas-driven team that believes great creative work happens when people feel supported, inspired, and empowered to bring their point of view to the table. We value curiosity, craftsmanship, and a strong sense of partnership—both within the Creative team and across the broader brand. If you’re excited by storytelling, style, gifting, and the details that make language feel personal, we’d love to meet you. This role reports into the brand Senior Vice President and is based in San Francisco at our Van Ness office and photo studio.
About The Role
The Director of Creative Services will lead and develop the Mark & Graham Creative team across digital, editorial, and photography. This role is responsible for guiding the brand’s creative vision while managing the day-to-day execution required to support a fast-paced, dynamic retail business.
The ideal candidate is a collaborative and motivating people leader who can keep the team focused, inspired, and nimble. They should bring a strong understanding of digital design, brand storytelling, and visual innovation, with the ability to lead the team from concept through execution across campaigns, site, email, social, photography, and editorial content.
To be successful in this role, the Director of Creative Services must balance big-picture creative vision with a willingness to dive into the details. This person should be comfortable navigating shifting priorities, providing clear direction, and ensuring creative work remains elevated, on-brand, and commercially effective.
This role also requires an operational mindset, helping the team scale processes, improve workflow, and maximize tools such as Airtable for project management and EDAM for asset management.
In partnership with the Brand SVP, the Director of Creative Services will help shape the future creative direction of Mark & Graham, driving continued growth through innovative ideas, expanded video capabilities, stronger brand collaborations, and more holistic integration of social content with brand marketing.
