Reporting to the General Manager, the Director of Corporate Services plays a pivotal role in providing strategic leadership and management across the hospital’s corporate services functions.
As a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, you will drive financial performance, operational excellence, and commercial outcomes while supporting the delivery of high-quality, compassionate care aligned to UnitingCare’s mission and values.
This role is accountable for leading financial strategy, enhancing business performance, and ensuring the effective delivery of corporate services including finance, patient administration, supply, facilities, and support services.
Your part in our team
As Director Corporate Services, you will:
As a member of the Executive Leadership Team, contribute to key organisational decisions to ensure effective hospital operations
Lead financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and capital planning to support organisational performance and sustainability
Drive strategic and operational initiatives through business case development, financial analysis, and project leadership
Lead and optimise corporate services functions including finance, patient administration, supply, facilities, and support services
Monitor financial performance, identify improvement opportunities, and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and revenue
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and service providers
Lead commercial activities including contract negotiation, third-party performance management, and health fund engagement
Mentor and develop leaders to build capability across financial and operational management
Contribute to strategic planning, innovation, and continuous improvement across the hospital
What makes a difference for us?
You will bring:
Extensive senior leadership experience in finance, corporate services, or a similar executive role
Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business, or related field (MBA and CPA/CA highly regarded)
Demonstrated experience in financial management, budgeting, and organisational performance improvement
Proven ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes in complex environments
Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract negotiation and managing external partnerships
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage at Executive and Board level
Experience in healthcare or private hospital sector (desirable)
Knowledge of healthcare funding models, including casemix and health fund contracts (desirable)
