As the Director, Corporate Compliance and Ethics at Lineage, you will develop, implement, and oversee Lineage’s corporate compliance and ethics initiatives and programs, including global data privacy. This position will be responsible for key compliance initiatives, including policies and procedures, internal investigations, training, compliance counseling, diligence screening and compliance related monitoring and risk assessments. This position is critical to supporting Lineage’s strategic and operational objectives by championing a centralized, coordinated enterprise-wide approach to corporate compliance and ethics across multiple business units with a particular focus in North America. This role requires a deep understanding of corporate compliance and ethics, global data privacy regulations, risk mitigation, excellent communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Role & Responsibilities:
StrategicCorporateCompliance& EthicsProgramLeadership
Provide strategic leadershiptoand support allcorporate complianceand ethicsinitiativesworking closely with the VP, Global Corporate Compliance & Ethics,global corporate compliance and ethics team,regional legal counselas well as regionalfacilityand functionalleadership.
Provide subject-matterexpertiseand guidance on relevant compliance and related regulatory matters, including, without limitation, anti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, ESG (including modern slavery), data privacy (including GDPR), cyber and data security, customs and trade compliance, whistleblowing, sanctions and antitrust.
Lead cross-functional teams in compliance initiativesand collaborate with global corporate compliance and ethicsteamon global initiatives
Partnerwith VP, Global Corporate Compliance & Ethics toselect andmonitorcompliance vendors.
Prepare and present periodic reporting to key stakeholders and senior leadership
Ethical Culture
Design and implement initiatives toassess andstrengthen Lineage’sethicalculture.
Training and Education:
Develop and deliver compliance training programs to educate employees on relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
Fostera culture of compliance through ongoing communication and awareness initiatives.
Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
Lead best in class annual risk assessmentstoidentifythe most significant risks affecting Lineage
Collaborate with business units to implement strategies for mitigating and managing identified risks.
Monitoring and Auditing:
Establish and oversee monitoring and auditing processes to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
Conduct internal audits toidentifyareas of improvement and address potential compliance issues.
Reporting and Investigations:
Provide oversight to Lineage’s ethics reporting resources, including the Lineage Ethics Hotline,includingtracking and assessment of key performance indicatorstomaintainan effective reporting mechanism,escalation and remediation processesfor compliance concernsand whistleblower reports
Conduct and manage internal investigations, including allegations of violations of Lineage’s code of conduct,and respond to whistleblower events in coordination withinternal stakeholders, ensuring a fair and thorough process
Policy and Regulatory Updates:
Create andmaintainpolicies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure adherence to legal and ethical standards.
Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations affecting the organization.
Update and revise compliance policies and procedures accordingly.
Collaboration with LegalTeam
Collaborate withregionallegal counsel to address compliance-related legal matters.
Provide support to compliance-related due diligence in connection with Lineage’s M&A activity
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field; advanced degree or certification with CCEP; JurisDoctor(JD)preferred.
10 years of experience in corporate compliance and ethics role, which includes significant involvement in the design, implementationandadministration of corporate compliance and ethics programs gained through a major law or accounting firm, government enforcementpositionor multinational corporation.
Strong knowledge inanti-bribery and corruption, anti-money laundering, ESG (including modern slavery), data privacy (including GDPR), cyber and data security, customs and trade compliance, whistleblowing, sanctions and antitrust
Demonstrated ability to lead and influence at all levels of the organization.
A self-starter withabilityto function ata high levelof effectiveness, flexibility, autonomy, and initiative without daily interaction with management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including experience accurately interpreting and explaining state and federal laws, rules, contracts, regulations, and policies using plain talk.
Experience delivering presentations to diverse audiences on a variety of laws, rules, policies, and procedures.
Proficientin technology solutions and systems
Collaborative and consultative team playerwhopossessesanability to work well both independently and in a team environment
Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, growing company and adjust quickly to change.
