HSBC is one of the largest banking and financial services organisations in the world. Guided by our purpose of opening up a world of opportunity, our ambition is to become the world’s most trusted bank globally, putting customers at the heart of everything we do.
This newly created London-based Director role provides global COO leadership across the Capital Markets & Advisory (CMA) Global Sector teams as well as the definition and delivery of CMA’s simplification and AI agenda. Reporting into the Global COO team and partnering closely with the Global Head of Sector, this role translates strategy into execution and strengthens decision-making through trusted data and commercial insights. The remit spans operating model development, transformation delivery, operational resilience and technology enablement in a regulated environment. Success means scaling AI use cases with measurable outcomes while embedding strong governance and controls across CMA AI initiatives. It also means aligning senior stakeholders across regions to prioritise investment and deliver sustainable scalable growth.
This role sits at the centre of how CMA Global Sectors turn strategy into measurable outcomes. You’ll set the conditions for better decisions by improving data quality, strengthening governance and bringing scalable AI capabilities into everyday workflows. You’ll also help shape which initiatives get funded, accelerated, reshaped or stopped so teams can focus on what matters most. If you want to build a simpler more technology-enabled operating model across a global investment banking environment we’d like to hear from you.
