Your role:
Processes, standards & Finance software/tools
Drive standardization and optimization of financial and business processes across Clarios EMEA, with a strong focus on Record‑to‑Report, in close alignment with regional and global leadership
Ensure adherence to established procedures and develop new processes where required to meet Clarios Europe’s business needs.
Strengthen departmental capabilities and establish Central Finance as a recognized Center of Excellence for ERP and OneStream.
Promote continuous improvement across the finance organization, including Shared Services, intercompany processes, IT tools, and policies.
Month-end closing, reporting, SOX & internal audit
Assume full accountability for timely, accurate, and compliant financial consolidation and
reporting.
Provide functional oversight to country controlling teams, including SOX and balance sheet testing, and follow‑up on internal and external audit findings to safeguard financial integrity across Clarios EMEA.
Financial planning & analysis, HQ & SG&A controlling
Lead the planning, execution, and governance of HQ cost and OE SG&A initiatives to deliver sustainable performance improvements and support profitable growth objectives.
Enhance annual planning, forecasting, and reporting processes to strengthen decision‑making and support the Finance organization.
Develop and lead FP&A as a Centre of Excellence for EMEA Planning and Analysis, driving standardization, best practices, and high‑quality decision support across the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Processes, standards & Finance software/tools
Serve as the primary interface to the Shared Service Center (BBC), driving continuous improvement of accounting processes in cooperation with the BBC in Bratislava (AR, AP, General Accounting, Fixed Assets, T&E).
Initiate and lead regular project and change progress reviews with BU and functional leadership to ensure timely delivery and sustained impact.
Assume responsibility for the execution of Transfer Pricing governance and compliance together with Tax.
Month-end closing, reporting, SOX & internal audit
Act as business process owner for the Record‑to‑Report (RTR) workstream, ensuring process integrity and continuous optimization.
Hold end‑to‑end responsibility for month‑end, quarter‑end, and year‑end close for Clarios EMEA under statutory and U.S. GAAP within SAP and OneStream.
Oversee asset-backed lending (ABL) reporting and manage the execution of annual ABL audits, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Financial planning & analysis, HQ & SG&A controlling
Lead Management Reporting and FP&A, serving as the key interface to the Global FP&A organization across business groups.
Ensure effective coordination of budgeting, forecasting cycles, and financial and statistical reporting.
Oversee OE SG&A Controlling, drive process enhancements, implement advanced controlling tools, and strengthen cost‑center accountability.
Provide strategic and operational leadership for HQ Controlling and Product Engineering controlling, ensuring transparency, cost discipline, and effective financial steering.
Strategic initiatives & value creation
Lead and drive strategic initiatives and transformation programs, including ERP transformation, M&A activities, and regulatory implementations such as e‑invoicing, while leveraging emerging technologies, including AI, to deliver sustainable performance improvements.
Partner cross‑functionally to identify, prioritize, and implement operational and financial improvement opportunities across Clarios Europe.
People leadership, development & stakeholder alignment
Provide strong people leadership, including timely performance evaluations, structured communication, and alignment of strategic and operational priorities.
Continuously review and optimize organizational structures and processes, fostering accountability, ownership, and employee development.
Act as the primary interface to Global Finance functions, including Tax, Country Financial Services (CFS), Treasury, Financial Governance, and the Shared Service Center (BBC), ensuring alignment, transparency, and effective collaboration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
University degree in Economics, Finance, or a related field.
Extensive experience in a senior finance management role within a multinational organization.
Proven people leadership experience, including talent development, performance management, and organizational alignment.
Strong end‑to‑end P&L management expertise.
Demonstrated experience in process management and business process excellence.
Solid background in project and matrix management within complex organizations.
Strong business and financial acumen, including audit experience.
Experience with SAP.
Digital savvy, familiar with AI.
In‑depth knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
OneStream experience is nice to have.
English language on a fluent level, German language is nice to have.
