Job Description

Dimension / Scope of The Job:

This position will be responsible for Leading and Managing Continuous Improvement across all Powertrain Plants in India.

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITY OF THE POSTION:

• Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.

• Achieving Monthly Target, Weekly Review, and analysis if any Gap

• Lead cross-functional teams to identify and analyze process improvement opportunities; streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.

• Conduct data analysis to assess current processes and measure performance metrics.

• Facilitate and drive workshops and training sessions on continuous improvement methodologies.

• Monitor and report on the progress of improvement projects.

• Implement 5S, Lean, Six Sigma, SMED or other improvement methodologies.

• Foster a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.

• Identify and prioritize improvement projects based on business goals.

• Provide guidance and support to teams on improvement tools and techniques.

• Data Analysis: Data-driven mindset with proficiency in data analysis tools.

• Implemented experience of Customer Specific requirements

• Good understanding of Conversion cost

• Knowledge on Power BI, Excel, presentation skill

• Six sigma (Green or yellow)

• Shop floor improvement tools, Time study / method study/ SMED

• Inventory / VSM / Bottle neck analysis

Technical Skills:

  • Foundry and machining process Knowledge is a must.
  • Knowledge on CNC machines and CNC programming.
  • Improvement Methodologies: Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or other improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
  • Knowledge of Shop floor improvement and Quality improvement
  • Monitor and report on the progress of improvement projects to management

Soft Skills

  • Analytical: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Change Management: Change management expertise.
  • Project Management: Excellent project management and organizational skills. Knowledge on Power BI

QUALIFICATION: Bachelor's degree in (Mechanical / Automobile) engineering, or a related field MBA from operations or both

Experience: 15+ yrs. Experience is required from the Manufacturing Industry
