
Director, Complex Assets

The Role
The Complex Asset Group at Fidelity Charitable works with philanthropists, their professional advisors and issuer counsel to facilitate charitable donations of complex assets such as equity interests in privately held C corporations, S corporations, limited partnerships (including private equity, hedge fund and other alternative investment vehicles) and limited liability companies.
The Director of Complex Assets will manage the acceptance, oversight and liquidation of a wide variety of complex assets on behalf of Fidelity Charitable from initial inquiry to completion of charitable transfers, post-acceptance oversight and closings/funding of Giving Accounts upon liquidation of contributed assets.
Serving at the intersection of wealth creation and philanthropy, you will help make more of a difference for business owners, private equity investors, and their professional legal, tax and financial advisors, who are increasingly seeking more strategic ways to use growth investments to improve their philanthropic impact.

Fidelity Charitable is a public charity that sponsors the largest national donor-advised fund program. Since 1991, Fidelity Charitable has introduced tens of thousands of donors to the benefits — and increased charitable impact — of using a donor-advised fund to meet their philanthropic goals. Fidelity Charitable is governed by an independent Board of Trustees, which has hired Fidelity Investments as the service provider to the charity. Fidelity Investments provides all the charitable organization’s employees and supports all its functions: Program Development, Marketing, Service Delivery, Relationship Management, Finance, Technology, Risk and Compliance, and Fundraising.

Fidelity’s Onsite Working Model
Fidelity is transitioning to a full-time onsite working model through a phased rollout across regions and roles. Currently, some roles and locations require 100% onsite presence, while others require less. Onsite expectations are likely to evolve as the rollout continues. This transition does not apply to fully remote roles.
The base salary range for this position is $95,000-186,000 USD per year.
Placement in the range will vary based on job responsibilities and scope, geographic location, candidate’s relevant experience, and other factors.
Base salary is only part of the total compensation package. Depending on the position and eligibility requirements, the offer package may also include bonus or other variable compensation.
