Compensation & Benefits Director

Location: Landskrona/Malmö preferably

Reports to: VP HR

Scope: Entrance System Division (ESD)

About the role

We are looking for a strategic and business-oriented Compensation & Benefits Director to lead the development and execution of our global rewards strategy.

This is a rare opportunity to architect how we pay, stay competitive, and ensure fairness while leading one of the most significant reward and compliance transformations.

You'll be a trusted advisor to senior leadership and the HR community, and a driver of performance, engagement, and retention.

Key responsibilities

  • Reward strategy. Set and execute a comprehensive Compensation & Benefits strategy aligned with business goals. Establish governance frameworks that ensure global consistency with local flexibility while advising senior leadership on key reward decisions.
  • Pay transparency & equity. Lead our readiness for the EU Pay Transparency Directive — including job architecture, joint pay assessments, gender pay-gap analysis and turn compliance into a competitive advantage.
  • Structures & frameworks. Design and continuously improve salary structures, incentives, and benefits using leading methodologies (Mercer, Korn Ferry, WTW). Use advanced analytics and digital tools to guide decisions and workforce planning while driving digitalization of reward processes in collaboration with HRIS.
  • Market competitiveness. Drive benchmarking and market analysis, and translate the data into clear, defensible decisions.
  • Reward cycles. Oversee annual reward cycles, including salary reviews, bonus processes, and long-term incentives. Partner with HR Business Partners and senior leaders to support talent and organizational decisions Oversee executive and board-level compensation frameworks, including long-term incentive plans (LTIPs).
  • Harmonization & M&A. Lead reward integration and harmonization across sites and acquisitions.
  • Compliance & vendors. Ensure compliance with local regulations and global policy, and manage external advisors, benefits providers, and the [mobility/fleet and company-car] framework across regions.

Who you are

You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to translate complex data into business insights to support business decision. You are confident in interacting with senior stakeholders and thrive in a dynamic, international environment. You don't just maintain reward programs — you lead change through them.

Qualifications & experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Finance, or related field
  • 10+ years experience in Compensation & Benefits, including leadership experience
  • Experience with executive compensation and board-level exposure
  • Strong financial acumen and experience managing reward budgets
  • Experience with HR systems and compensation tools (e.g., SAP, Mercer, WTW platforms)
  • Strong command of reward frameworks and job-evaluation methodologies ([Mercer / Korn Ferry / WTW])
  • Strong knowledge of reward frameworks, job evaluation methodologies, and market practices
  • Experience working in a global or matrix organization
  • Proven ability to lead projects and drive change
  • Sharp analytical, data-driven mindset and excellent stakeholder management
  • Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus)
