This role sets market pricing, protects margin objectives, and provides pricing analytics and commercial guidance across strategic programs, multi-site customer agreements, and individual opportunities.

A key focus of this role is building pricing structures, rules, and logic within Epicor (ERP) and bringing them to life in an integrated quote tool, so that Sales, Proposal Engineering, and Field Service can produce fast, accurate, and consistent quotes. This is an individual contributor position that leads cross-functional pricing and quoting initiatives, directing the work of employees from other departments on project teams. The Director operates as part of ONE Commercial Team, with clear ownership, disciplined follow-through, and a customer-first mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pricing Strategy & Governance
  • Develop and maintain pricing strategy, methodologies, price structures, guardrails, and approval thresholds for products, engineered solutions, and services.
  • Set pricing for commercial programs, including data center framework agreements, multi-site and volume programs, and long-term customer contracts.
  • Analyze cost, market conditions, competitive position, customer value, and target margin to support pricing decisions.
  • Maintain price lists, discount logic, escalation factors (commodity, material, and labor), and pricing assumptions.
  • Review pricing exception requests and provide clear recommendations for leadership approval.
  • Epicor & Quote Tool Pricing Build
  • Design and build pricing structures, price lists, discount and margin rules, and costing logic within Epicor.
  • Partner with Engineering, IT, and the quote tool team to translate pricing logic into an integrated quote tool, ensuring pricing flows accurately between the quote tool and Epicor.
  • Define requirements, test scenarios, and acceptance criteria for pricing functionality; validate quote outputs against expected pricing and margin.
  • Own ongoing maintenance of pricing data within Epicor and the quote tool, including price updates, cost changes, and rule revisions.
  • Improve pricing data quality, governance, tools, and repeatable decision processes.
  • Commercial Program & Deal Support
  • Partner with Sales, Offers, Proposal Engineering, Finance, and Operations on strategic quotes and large data center opportunities.
  • Support deal strategy, negotiation positions, and pricing scenarios for key accounts and competitive bids.
  • Support annual planning, market segmentation, and commercial scenario analysis.
  • Analytics & Performance
  • Track and report pricing performance, including:
  • Price realization and margin performance
  • Win/loss patterns and pricing effectiveness
  • Pricing response time
  • Exception discipline and approval compliance
  • Deliver pricing insights and recommendations to commercial and executive leadership.
  • Project Leadership
  • Lead cross-functional pricing and quoting projects, setting scope, timelines, and priorities.
  • Direct and coordinate the work of employees from Sales, Engineering, Finance, IT, and Operations assigned to pricing projects, without direct reporting authority.
  • Train Sales, Proposal Engineering, and other users on pricing policies, guardrails, and quote tool pricing functionality.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, financial-modeling, Excel/data, and commercial judgment skills
  • Ability to communicate pricing logic clearly to technical, commercial, and executive stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional projects and influence without direct authority
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on Epicor experience, including price lists, costing, and configurator functionality
  • Pricing experience for data center or mission-critical power products (switchgear, switchboards, PDUs, modular power solutions)
  • Experience pricing long-term commercial programs, framework agreements, or multi-site customer contracts
  • Experience with BI and analytics tools (e.g., Power BI) and CRM systems
