BNY is seeking a Director, Commercial Product Manager to join our Custody Platform team in Singapore. This senior role is focused on supporting our APAC client base and regional growth agenda by shaping commercially differentiated custody solutions, driving product strategy, and ensuring our offering continues to evolve in line with client needs, market developments, and platform priorities. This role is located in Singapore
The successful candidate will combine strategic thinking, client-centricity, commercial judgment, and execution discipline to identify growth opportunities, translate market and client needs into compelling product propositions, and partner across a broad stakeholder group to deliver measurable business outcomes.

You will play a key role in evolving our product offering for a dynamic regional market, improving client outcomes, and unlocking sustainable commercial growth through strong product management and solution leadership.
In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways:
- Drive the commercial product strategy for custody across the APAC region, with a strong focus on client needs, market opportunity, and regional growth priorities.
- Develop and maintain external facing materials that clearly articulate BNY’s value proposition incl. product roadmaps aligned to platform strategy and jurisdictional requirements
- Identify high-value client and market opportunities and shape commercially compelling product and solutions that support revenue growth.
- Translate complex client needs, regulatory considerations, and market developments into scalable product enhancements and commercialization strategies.
- Act as the voice of the client by bringing structured client feedback, market intelligence, and competitive insights into product prioritization and design.
- Partner closely with Coverage and Sales teams to support strategic client engagement, solution positioning, and go-to-market execution.
- Help define pricing approaches and management of client commercials
- Build business cases for product and solution enhancements, including revenue potential, client benefit, operational considerations, and implementation dependencies.
- Work across Product, Technology, Operations, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and Finance to progress initiatives from concept through execution and commercialization.
- Support governance, risk, and control processes across product initiatives within remit, ensuring key considerations are embedded from inception.
- Drive continuous transformation and digitization of the custody offering, with a focus on client experience, scalability, efficiency, and future growth.
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 10+ years of relevant industry experience in financial services, with strong experience in custody, securities services, transaction banking, product management, and/or commercial product strategy.
- Strong understanding of the APAC custody landscape, incl. jurisdictional nuances and client segments.
- Strong commercial acumen, incl. experience with pricing and value proposition development.
- Strong client-facing experience, with the ability to engage credibly with clients, internal stakeholders, and senior leaders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills,
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills, with the ability to make informed trade-offs and operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Effective use of technology and AI to enhance, insights and delivery
- Experience with agile ways of working and familiarity with tools such as JIRA, TPro, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.
