Director of commercial finance & insights

A to Z Wineworks, LLC is hiring a Director of Commercial Finance & Insights to represent our Oregon brands of A to Z Wineworks, Erath, and REX HILL. This position supports, coordinates, and represents the company’s commercial success, in collaboration with sales teams, distributors, and fulfillment warehouses to ensure efficient logistics and fulfillment. Responsibilities include oversight and accountability for setting and implementing profitable pricing architecture, providing relevant market analytics and insights, maintaining commercial tracking systems, assisting in preparation for quarterly business reviews, supply & demand planning, and overseeing analytical system tools.

Job Responsibilities:

Pricing & Supply Management

  • Accountable for accuracy of consumer-facing pricing while maximizing company gross margin through continuous analysis of market pricing grids.
  • Manage and monitor the implementation of approved pricing strategies and use of depletion allowances to achieve targeted net list pricing by market, channel, and customer.
  • Collaborates with Marketing and Sales leadership on new item introductions and SKU architecture.

Analytics & Insights

  • Provide localized, market-relevant insights, analytics, and opportunity identification, partnering with Sales leadership to identify and meet the organization’s reporting and analytics needs.
  • Accountable for maintaining and operating software tools needed for organization to succeed, always looking for continuous improvement and automation.
  • Monitor and identify financial/business risks and opportunities.
  • Tailor reports, presentations, and communications materials targeted to sales leadership needs.

Sales & Business Planning

  • Collaborate with VP of Sales and CEO on sales execution against commercial strategy.
  • Localize annual planning to drive accountability to distribution, depletion, and pricing objectives.
  • Collaborate with Director of Finance on a regular basis to achieve timelines and profit goals for the business.

Position Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or related field; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
  • 5+ years of progressive experience related to beverage alcohol sales in commercial-facing roles that include comparable goals and responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in finance, with emphasis on financial planning & analysis, commercial finance, or comparable positions.
  • Advanced technical proficiency with Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint, IRI.
  • Requires up to 20% Travel.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to travel by air and car.
  • Lift, move, and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to operate a computer.

Your Compensation:

$150k - $175k per year
