What can you expect from this position?

The Director, Commercial Enablement and Governance, leads the design and provisioning of key shared services across the Commercial organization. This role is a catalyst for operational transformation and a champion of excellence, enabling scalable growth and superior partner performance. Reporting to the Chief Commercial Officer, this role elevates the effectiveness of commercial teams by embedding systems, insights, and practices that drive smarter decisions and stronger outcomes.

At its core, the role fosters a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. By designing frameworks that support operational excellence, the Leader empowers teams to deliver with clarity and confidence. This position aligns data, tools, and processes with GTAA’s commercial ambitions, ensuring every initiative is insight-driven and built for impact.

As Director, Commercial Performance and Governance, you will:

  • Lead Commercial Strategy & Vision: Set the direction for commercial excellence, aligning initiatives with strategic objectives to drive revenue optimization and operational efficiency across the division.
  • Establish Governance Frameworks: Define and implement robust governance processes, standards, and compliance measures to ensure alignment with enterprise requirements and minimize risk.
  • Drive Operational Excellence: Design and implement frameworks, systems, and processes that enhance operational effectiveness, standardization, and continuous improvement across all commercial activities.
  • Lead Commercial Strategy & Vision: Set the direction for commercial excellence, aligning initiatives with strategic objectives to drive revenue optimization and operational efficiency across the division.
  • Build tools and standards for contract management, developing templates and clause libraries to streamline execution, renewal, and optimize performance outcomes. Implement contract lifecycle management and analysis tools to streamline execution and renewals, and create planning frameworks for obligations, milestones, and renewals to support leadership visibility.
  • Build advanced capabilities for market trend analysis, competitive benchmarking, and performance dashboards to inform strategic decisions and optimize revenue streams.
  • Create timely, actionable executive reports and presentations that translate complex commercial and operational performance data into clear recommendations for senior leadership.
  • Foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement by setting clear performance metrics, coaching, mentoring, and developing diverse teams to achieve their full potential.

This is the role for you, if you have:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business or Data Analytics (Master’s preferred).
  • Leadership Experience: 10+ years of progressive professional experience, including at least 8 years in people leadership.
  • Data Strategy: Expertise in data governance and analytics to drive strategic decisions and operational improvements.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and oversee multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.
  • Vendor & Contract Management: Comprehensive experience managing vendor relationships and collaborating on contract governance.
  • Operational Excellence: Skilled in developing quality assurance frameworks and continuous improvement programs.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent negotiation and presentation skills with a focus on driving a culture of performance.
  • Compliance & Security: Ability to obtain Transportation Security Clearance and familiarity with airline/airport regulatory frameworks.
