Who You Are
You are a growth-minded operational leader who understands that successful commercial lending requires more than originating great loans. You can coach an employee through a difficult loan file, work with a Loan Officer to resolve a closing issue, identify a process bottleneck, evaluate staffing capacity, strengthen operational control, and help senior leadership think through what the department will need as UCCU continues to grow.

What We Value
- Growth mindset. You are a controlled risk-taker with vision, not a steady-state operator. You hold yourself to a high standard and own it, and you are humble, curious, and courageous enough to keep improving. You see feedback as a gift, you listen more than you talk, and you stay open to being wrong. Everything is figure-out-able, and you bring a bias toward action to every
- The goal of a big goal is not just the outcome. It is who you become in the pursuit of it.
- Member-centric focus. You are relentless about the member experience across every interaction and every channel. You understand that service here is not a transaction, it is a calling. You treat every interaction as a chance to change someone's life, you notice friction others walk past, and you do not accept unnecessary complexity in the service journey. You think about what makes a member act versus abandon, and you build systems that make every moment more human, more memorable, and more meaningful.
- Data-driven leadership. You use metrics, trend analysis, and staff forecasting to make smart decisions, not just report results. You read a scorecard, find the real story underneath it, and translate that into coaching and action. You understand the cost drivers of running a service center, you add value and over-deliver, and you make that knowledge useful to the people and organization around you.
- People leadership. You build the full system: clear recruiting competencies, training that gets agents to confidence quickly, competitive pay, career pathing, and a coaching culture that makes people want to stay and grow. More than that, you build others up. You develop team leads who lead rather than enforce, you create successors intentionally, and you make everyone around you better not because it is in the job description but because that is how you lead. The most successful leaders do not just develop their own skills. They make the people around them better.
- Technology fluency. You understand omnichannel capabilities, WFM tools, AI-assisted routing, and chat optimization. You maximize what you already have before chasing new investments, and you see every technology gap as an opportunity rather than an obstacle. You bring love, light, and genuine curiosity to what is possible, and you constantly ask how the next innovation can make the experience more human, not less.
- Change leadership. You are an inspiring communicator with high EQ who brings clarity, calm, and direction during transformation. You own outcomes without making excuses, stay deliberate when things are moving fast, and help your team understand the why behind what is changing. Courage is not the absence of uncertainty. It is choosing that something else matters more. You show up that way consistently across every cross-functional relationship.
- Resilience and care. You have led in dynamic, high-growth environments and you do not wait for perfect conditions. You prioritize the wellness of your team alongside the performance of your function, knowing that sustainable results come from people who are energized and supported, not depleted. You recharge before you run empty, and you model that from the top. You bring love, light, and genuine care to every room you enter, and you make the work enjoyable for your teammates and memorable for your members.
