
Directs and plans the development and operations of Clinical Laboratories. Coordinates resources of multiple administrative disciplines/functions of the Hospital. Ensures continual efficient and compliant operational performance of the department and related areas.
Job Responsibility
• Leads the Clinical Laboratory Operations' group by developing, communicating, and building consensus for goals/programs that support business or region
• Develops and articulates a short-term strategic vision for areas of responsibility.
• Develops clinical laboratory operations goals and objectives including identifying and implementing opportunities for enhanced patient satisfaction.
• Reports on operational performance, justification and/or corrective action• Implements policies, standards and procedures that support and facilitate clinical laboratory operations services across the system.
• Develops strategies for clinical laboratory operations programs adaptation to market changes and implements new service delivery models.
• Selects, develops, manages, and evaluates direct reports; oversees the selection, development, management and evaluation of indirect reports.
• Reviews comprehensiveness of programs on an ongoing basis and develops strategies for program adaptation to market changes.
• Identifies and implements technology to improve operations.

Job Qualification
• Bachelor's Degree required
• Current License to practice as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist in New York State required, plus specialized certifications as needed
• 8-12 years of technical experience, required and 7+ years of leadership /management experience, preferred OR Master's Degree with 6+ years of technical experience.
