The Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander
Child Protection Peak (QATSICPP) is seeking an exceptional leader to establish
and drive our Centre of Excellence (CoE)—a critical function shaping how
research, evidence, and evaluation strengthen outcomes for Aboriginal and
Torres Strait Islander children, young people, and families.
About the role
As Director, Centre of Excellence, you will lead the development of a culture where research, evaluation, and learning are core to how QATSICPP and the sector design and deliver services.
Key responsibilities include:
Drive the CoE strategy, shaping a culturally grounded approach to research and evaluation
Lead action research and build a strong evidence base to inform policy, practice and decision-making
Oversee development of publications, policy papers, and sector resources
Build partnerships across community-controlled organisations, government and research
institutions
Lead and develop a high-performing team
About you
You are an experienced and values-driven leader
with expertise in research, evaluation, and sector reform.
You will bring:
Experience in
research, program evaluation or applied social policy
Strong understanding
of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, families and
communities
Ability to translate evidence into practical outcomes
Strong stakeholder engagement capability
Leadership experience
