The New York Mets are seeking a dynamic, service-driven Director, Catering & Hospitality to lead the food-and-beverage experience for all non-baseball events at Citi Field. Serving as the primary liaison between Willets Point Entertainment (WPE) and Aramark, this individual will oversee catering sales, planning, and assist with on-site execution—ensuring that every event delivers a best-in-class hospitality experience while driving operational excellence and incremental F&B revenue. The ideal candidate brings equal strength in client relations, event execution, sales, and operational leadership, embodying the Mets’ standard of hospitality excellence.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities :
Lead food-and-beverage planning, sales, and execution for all non-baseball events in partnership with WPE and Aramark
Partner with WPE once events are confirmed to discuss menus, create proposals, andprovidepricing guidance for the cateringcomponent
Oversee the full catering process—from BEO creation, on-siteexecutionand post-event reconciliation
Build andleveragestrategic relationships across agencies, planners, hospitality groups, and industry communities toshowcaseCiti Field’s food & beverage capabilities,expandingvisibility andstrengtheningbrand positioning
Collaborate with Aramark’s culinary, premium, and operations teams tomaintainexceptional service standards and consistency across all venues
Drive food-and-beverage innovation through menu ideation, presentation, and guest-satisfaction initiatives
Maintain clear communication with clients and internal partners throughout the event lifecycle, ensuring expectations are met or exceeded
Support long-term hospitality initiatives including club enhancements, suite menu updates, and capital-improvement projects
Coordinate with Ballpark Operations, Security, and Guest Experience to ensure smooth F&Blogistics(power, vendor access, load-in/out)
Track performance metrics, budgets, and client feedback to inform future improvements and growth opportunities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or related field preferred
7+ years of progressive experience in premium hospitality, catering operations, or large-venue F&B sales/management
Proven ability to manage both the sales and operational components of high-volume events
Deep understanding of catering financials, forecasting, and cost-control strategies
Excellent communication, organization, andclient-serviceskills
Demonstrated success leading cross-functional teams in fast-paced event environments
Proficiencywith Microsoft Office; familiarity with catering or event-management software preferred
Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and non-traditional hours as required by the event schedule
