Help empower our global customers to connect to culture through their passions.
StockX has redefined the global marketplace for culture — where buyers and sellers transact with confidence on an always-on digital exchange. We are building the next frontier of creator-driven, culturally rich commerce that blends excitement, community, expertise, and transaction in one platform.
To power this next chapter, we are building a category-led organization where each major vertical operates with clear ownership, accountability, and cultural authority.
The Director, Category Growth (General Manager) is the business owner of a major category vertical. This leader is accountable for the full P&L and long-term trajectory of their category — including supply growth, liquidity, demand activation, monetization, and marketplace health.
You will operate as a true GM: setting vision, defining strategy, allocating resources, building a team, and driving cross-functional execution. You will represent your vertical at the leadership level and ensure that product, marketing, operations, and partnerships are aligned to unlock sustainable growth.
This role is both entrepreneurial and executive — suited for a leader who wants to build and scale a culturally driven business within a high-impact marketplace.
This is not a traditional category marketing or merchandising role. This is a vertical GM role with real business ownership.
You will:
Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, Los Angeles Fair Chance Initiative for Hiring Ordinance, and any other state or local hiring regulations, we will consider for employment any qualified applicant, including those with arrest and conviction records, in a manner consistent with the applicable regulation.
Pursuant to the Colorado Fair Pay Act, the base salary range in Colorado for this position is $160,000 to $200,000, plus opportunities for benefits (e.g., medical, dental), equity and discretionary bonuses. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
