The Director Campaign Excellence - Expansion role is responsible for driving growth in assigned markets by providing strategic direction to TVPs, Executive Directors and campaign staff across the nation. This position provides advanced strategic planning, market-specific guidance, and national campaign expertise to ensure peer-to-peer fundraising efforts in expansion markets achieve time sensitive KPIs and ultimately exceed revenue goals. With a focus on development of short- and long-range plans and partnering on performance management of staff related to key drivers and campaign standards, this role plays a critical part in advancing Blood Cancer United’s mission of relentlessly pursuing cancer cures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Mission Integration
• Equip markets to deliver best-in-class, mission-centered activities that advance Blood Cancer United’s national visibility and community impact.
• Translate national priorities into scalable, market-specific mission integration strategies across expansion geographies.
Strategic Planning
• Lead comprehensive, market-specific strategic planning that integrates revenue forecasting, constituent engagement trends, pipeline development, and strong high impact recruitment to lay foundation for consistent multi-year growth across expansion campaigns.
• Proactively shape the strategic direction for expansion of markets by identifying systemic opportunities and risks, utilizing data to design interventions that drive market dominance and donor retention.
• Partner with ED’s and region staff to identify, cultivate and steward Blood Cancer United leadership/donors/participants within target audiences, and maximize volunteer development and management within assigned campaigns/regions.
• Provide strategic guidance and participation for key events associated with Student Visionaries; including but not limited to preparation for and participation in committee meetings, recruitment/cultivation events, fundraising planning meetings, etc.
Staff Leadership & Development
• Partner with Regional Leadership to coach, model and train fundraising staff in assigned territory on initiative best practices and strategies
• Collaborate with Region and Territory leadership to evaluate staff performance and hire talented high impact revenue teams
Data Insights & Other responsibilities
• Provide expert-level insight into expansion dynamics, campaign development trends, and constituent behaviors to inform national revenue strategies and external messaging.
• Produce forecasting and projections of reports by evaluating on-going recruitment, and development efforts, including fundraising efficiency (cost/expense), community engagement, and overall key campaign components.
• Develop and deepen strategic relationships with high impact level partners, sponsors, and volunteer leaders to drive transformative revenue growth and sustainable partnerships.
• Complete national projects under the direction of the VP of Portfolio Expansion including, but not limited to, national tool development, data collection and analysis, and expansion focused trainings.
• Serve as a key collaborator on cross-functional initiatives to expand Blood Cancer United's fundraising and mission delivery reach through innovation, strategic partnerships, and operational excellence.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

We are excited to share the base pay range for this position is $96K to $130K. The offered compensation may vary based on factors such as geographic location, business need, market conditions, proficiencies, skills, education, and experience. Additionally, at Blood Cancer United we place a high value on internal pay equity and will consider the current compensation of similarly situated roles and direct team members. Base compensation is only one component of our Total Rewards program, which also includes an annual incentive plan and a competitive benefits package.
