About the Role:
Position is a foundational leadership position within Johnson Controls’ innovation ecosystem. The mission is to accelerate growth from innovation. This leader will help accelerate innovation projects, remove executional barriers, and ensure their timely delivery to the market.

How you will do it:

• Lead the creation of standard work for project management and innovation execution within Johnson Controls.

• Assess the current maturity of innovation execution. Coach project managers and teams on applying the business system towards faster and better execution of key innovation projects.

• Lead problem solving to identify and solve systematic problems across innovation projects in Johnson Controls. Identify and share best practices for faster and better execution.

• Facilitating improvement workshops (Kaizen) to accelerate specific projects.

What we look for:

• Bachelor’s degree in Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field; MBA preferred.

• Evidence in delivering results in innovation or new product development (NPD).

• Demonstrated success using Lean or Continuous Improvement in project management to deliver business results.

• Certified Practitioner in Visual Project Management (VPM) strongly preferred. Experience in compressing NPD projects is a plus. Experience in facilitating large and complex improvement workshops is a plus.

• Experience in operating effectively in large, complex, matrixed organizations – delivering results through people.

• Experience in developing people is a plus.

• P&L leadership, strategic planning experience, or domain expertise strongly preferred.

• Travel Requirements: 50%+ travel as needed.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $158,000 - $237,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data. This role offers a competitive Bonus plan that will take into account individual, group, and corporate performance. This position includes a competitive benefits package.
