Director, Business Digital Enablement Post-Sale Servicing

Purpose

As the Director Post-Sale Servicing & Account Management, you will lead the cross-platform Servicing and Payments roadmap and partner closely with peers in Business, IB Technology, IB Retail Transformation, and IB Engineering to drive client experience outcomes for our Servicing and Payments capabilities across the footprint.
With your team of Group Product Managers and Senior Product Managers, and working closely with Product Design in the same vertical, you will be responsible for planning, delivery, and ongoing monitoring for all new digital capabilities, ensuring that a cross-platform strategy is being defined for prioritization and delivery that ensures a best in class user experience for all Scotiabank clients in our footprint.
The role will report to the Head, Business Digital Enablement. This role ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

Accountabilities

• Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge.
• Leads a cross-platform enterprise roadmap for Servicing and Payments across IB Retail, leveraging a data driven approach to prioritization and execution.
• Engage & cultivate deep relationships with key stakeholders from Retail Deposits, Payments, Unsecured Lending, Fraud, Enterprise Payments, and Operations.
• Partners closely with Product Design to ensure effective design research, design standards across platform are met, and drive initiatives including web/mobile builds and third party platform integration
• Communicates, collaborates and partners with Countries, Regional Control Functions, Business Lines, Engineering and other Scotiabank stakeholder groups such as CX and Marketing to co-create digital experiences and journeys, making it easier for clients to do business with us (discover, buy, use, manage and service Scotiabank products, digitally)
• Collaborates, and closely partners with our engineering and analytics organizations (regional and enterprise) to drive data-driven product-development approach through product discovery, research, product experimentation and validation.
• Champions an Agile product methodology for IB Retail Digital scrum teams to prioritize effectively, ensure quality and accessibility standards, and manage inter-dependencies across platforms
• The ideal candidate will have a strong Technical and UX understanding/background
• Directs day-to-day activities in a manner consistent with the Bank’s risk culture and the relevant risk appetite statement and limits. Communicates the Bank’s risk culture and risk appetite statement throughout their teams.
• Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk.

Education / Experience / Other Information

• Minimum 8 years experience in Digital Product Management using agile practices
• Expertise in Lean/agile principles; demonstrated success fostering experimentation and calculated risks to drive product innovation.
• Strong organizational skills an asset
• Strong technical competency an asset
• Strong understanding of UX Design an asset
• A passion for changing the way people bank and a willingness to live in the future and build what’s missing.
• A collaborative leader who leverages diversity across disciplines/locations/levels to fuel creativity and innovation in product design.
• Exceptional business planning and execution skills
• Extensive experience in executing go-to-market strategies and launching new products - taking new products from the idea stage to commercial launch.
• Financial services experience an asset
• Spanish required

Working Conditions
Work in a standard office-based environment; non-standard hours are a common occurrence. Limited travel domestically/internationally/globally.
