Job Description

Director of Business Development to drive growth in our Physical AI business. This role combines business development with strategic partner ecosystem development, requiring both sales acumen and collaborative relationship management.

We are seeking an experienced Director of Business Development to drive growth in our Physical AI business. This role combines business development with strategic partner ecosystem development, requiring both sales acumen and collaborative relationship management.

Primary Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Identify and pursue new market opportunities in the Physical AI space
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans for target customers
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Achieve revenue targets and go to market milestones
  • Prepare proposals, presentations, contracts and commercial negotiations
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence

Partner Development

  • Identify and qualify potential strategic partners (technology, distribution, hardware development, software frameworks, models and applications)
  • Negotiate partnership agreements and terms
  • Develop co-marketing strategies and joint go-to-market initiatives
  • Serve as primary point of contact for key partners

Ecosystem Development

  • Map and understand the Physical AI ecosystem landscape, identify ecosystem gaps and opportunities
  • Build collaboration between internal teams and external partners
  • Build and cultivate a community of software developers, integrators, and application developers
  • Establish partner enablement programs (training, certification, resources)
  • Manage partner performance

Strategic Initiatives

  • Contribute to overall business strategy and market positioning
  • Identify adjacent market opportunities and potential acquisitions
  • Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Prepare business case analyses and recommendations to leadership

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of business development, sales, eco-system development or related experience
  • Proven track record of closing deals and exceeding targets
  • Experience in B2B technology, hardware and software sales with focus on ARR
  • Experience building and managing partner networks
  • Strategic thinking with ability to execute tactically

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in AI, robotics, automation, modeling, autonomous vehicles or related fields
  • Experience in ecosystem or platform business models
  • Knowledge of distribution channels in semiconductor based products
  • Track record building developer communities

Expected Salary Range

$193,000.00 - $319,000.00
