You will personally prospect, pitch and close new freight forwarding business across the LATAM trade lane, owning your pipeline and driving Visy’s growth between Latin America and the United States.

Role Details

You will lead the growth of Visy’s LATAM trade lane, developing new business and expanding strategic customer relationships across Latin America and the United States. This is a hands-on individual contributor role for an experienced freight-forwarding business developer who understands LATAM markets, cultures and cross-border trade. You will build pipeline, win new opportunities and develop sustainable trade flows across ocean freight, air freight, customs brokerage, warehousing and value-added logistics solutions, while working closely with regional and global teams to deliver commercially competitive solutions.

What You'll Do

• Identify, pursue and secure new business across priority LATAM countries, gateway markets, industries and trade flows
• Build and manage a qualified pipeline of importers, exporters, manufacturers, retailers and other target customers
• Develop senior customer relationships and expand strategic accounts through consultative, solution-led selling
• Collaborate with U.S., LATAM and global sales, product, pricing and operations teams to convert business at both origin and destination
• Monitor customer trends, competitors, pricing, capacity, regulations and market risks to identify commercial opportunities

What You Will Bring to the Team

A true business developer with a hunter mindset, capable of building a LATAM-focused pipeline from the ground up and converting relationships into profitable revenue. You will bring strong knowledge of LATAM business practices and cross-border trade, disciplined pipeline management and the ability to collaborate effectively across countries and cultures. You will also bring:

• 10+ years’ experience in international freight forwarding, supply chain, strategic sales, business development or trade-lane development, including direct experience building business across Latin America
• A proven record of winning new business, developing strategic accounts and building a sustainable pipeline within LATAM-related trade
• An established network of customers, carriers, agents and industry relationships across priority LATAM markets, with the ability to generate immediate and long-term opportunities
• Fluent professional Spanish, with strong commercial negotiation, communication and cross-cultural stakeholder management skills
• Portuguese language capability is highly desirable, together with experience working across ocean, air, customs, warehousing and value-added logistics solutions
