Role Overview

We are looking for a Director of Business Development to join our Corporate vertical in France. This is a pure new business hunter role — your mission is to identify, prospect, and close net new accounts across TransPerfect's full portfolio of services.

You will be selling into mid-to-large corporate accounts across a broad range of industries, with a particular focus on sectors where TransPerfect's expanded capabilities — including creative production via The Mill — create strong differentiation and cross-sell opportunity.

This role is ideal for a commercially driven professional who combines structured B2B sales discipline with genuine curiosity about creative, digital, and linguistic services.

What You Will Sell

You will represent TransPerfect's full Corporate service portfolio, including:

• Translation & Localisation** — documents, marketing, legal, technical, and digital content
• Interpretation** — simultaneous, consecutive, remote (RSI)
• Technology & AI Solutions** — GlobalLink TMS, MT/MTPE, AI-powered workflows
• Digital & Multimedia** — subtitling, dubbing, voice-over, e-learning localisation
• Creative Production (The Mill)** — Artistic Direction, VFX, Motion Design for luxury, fashion, beauty, and lifestyle brands
• Globalisation Consulting** — content strategy, workflow optimisation, language asset management

Key Responsibilities

• Build and manage a pipeline of net new business across the French and European corporate market
• Identify and engage key decision-makers — CMOs, Heads of Communication, Procurement Directors, Creative Directors, and Heads of Production
• Develop tailored pitches and proposals that draw on the full breadth of TransPerfect's service offering, including creative capabilities
• Lead the full sales cycle from prospecting to close, including RFP/RFI responses, commercial negotiation, and contract finalisation
• Collaborate with internal teams (Solutions, Operations, The Mill creative teams) to design compelling, client-specific solutions
• Represent TransPerfect at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums
• Contribute to market intelligence — identify trends, competitor movements, and emerging client needs
• Report pipeline, forecast, and activity accurately

Requirements

Experience

• Minimum 3–7 years of B2B sales experience, with a strong track record in new business development
• Experience selling , multi-service solutions to corporate clients — ideally in one or more of the following: creative services, digital production, marketing services, SaaS/tech, or professional services
• Proven ability to close six-figure deals and manage multi-stakeholder, long-cycle sales processes
• Exposure to or genuine interest in creative industries (luxury, fashion, beauty, lifestyle, advertising) — a strong differentiator
• Experience navigating large organisations — identifying budget holders, managing procurement processes, and building internal champions

• Ability to sell both transactional and strategic engagements depending on client maturity
• Strong discovery and consultative selling skills— listens before pitching
• Comfortable discussing technology, AI, and workflow solutions as well as creative services
• Excellent communication and presentation skills in both French and English
• Commercially rigorous — accurate pipeline management, disciplined forecasting

Languages

• French — native or bilingual (essential)
• English — fluent, business-level (essential)
• Additional languages a plus

Education

• Degree in **Business, Marketing, Communications, Languages, or a creative discipline** — or equivalent professional experience
