As part of our business development team, you’ll identify opportunities that expand our reach, strengthen our market position and create new pathways for growth across the payments ecosystem.

You’ll work at the intersection of strategy, partnerships and innovation, collaborating with experienced leaders and industry experts to influence how we grow in existing markets and unlock opportunities in new ones. From building key partner relationships to evaluating strategic initiatives, your work will directly contribute to the future of our business.

What you’ll own

• Drive strategic business growth by identifying, evaluating and pursuing new market opportunities, partnerships and revenue streams that strengthen Global Payments’ position in the industry.
• Shape expansion strategies by assessing emerging markets, niche segments and business opportunities that create long-term value for clients and the business.
• Build and grow high-impact partner relationships with Independent Sales Organizations (ISOs) and Independent Agents, creating opportunities that accelerate business growth and client acquisition.
• Negotiate partnership, pricing and commercial terms that align business objectives, deliver mutual value and create sustainable growth opportunities.
• Influence strategic decision-making through market analysis, competitive insights and customer intelligence that guide investment and growth priorities.
• Evaluate the financial viability of strategic initiatives by assessing market potential, business performance and growth opportunities to drive informed decisions.
• Contribute to mergers, acquisitions and joint venture initiatives by providing insights, analysis and recommendations that support long-term business objectives.
• Lead initiatives that improve business performance, operational effectiveness and growth outcomes while strengthening Global Payments’ ability to compete and innovate.

What you bring

• Experience driving business development, strategic partnerships, market expansion or related growth initiatives in a dynamic business environment.
• Proven ability to evaluate market opportunities, identify growth drivers and translate insights into actionable business strategies.
• Strong commercial and negotiation skills, with experience building mutually beneficial partnerships and influencing business outcomes.
• Confidence analyzing market trends, competitive activity and customer needs to inform strategic decisions.
• Strong financial and business acumen, including experience assessing the viability and potential impact of new opportunities.
• Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders, cross-functional teams and external partners while driving alignment around common goals.
• A curious, results-focused mindset with the resilience, accountability and ownership needed to thrive in an evolving business landscape.

It’s a bonus if you have

• A proven ability to upsell and cross-sell existing merchants on new features, software add-ons, and hardware upgrades.
• Experience working with the restaurant or retail industries is a plus.
• Two full years of B2B Outside Sales experience.

$90,000 - $104,000 + Commission Compensation
The above represents the expected salary range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
