Job Description

The Director, Business Analysis & Solutions Governance plays a critical leadership role in shaping the technology, process, and governance agenda supporting the Private Markets Investment Management business. This role partners closely with senior leaders across Operations, Investment Management, Finance, Technology, and Data to connect business priorities with scalable solutions that strengthen the private markets investment lifecycle.

Leading a team of Business Analysts, the Director provides oversight for solution governance, business requirements, technology implementations, and the prioritization of strategic initiatives and technology investments. The successful candidate will bring a transformation mindset, using automation, analytics, and AI-enabled solutions to improve efficiency, scalability, reporting, and user experience across a complex and growing business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of business analysis, technology strategy, and solutions governance initiatives that support Private Markets Investment Management priorities.

  • Partner with senior leaders across Operations, Investment Management, Finance, Technology, and Data to align technology investments, process improvements, and delivery priorities with business objectives.

  • Provide strategic ownership and oversight of platforms supporting the private markets investment lifecycle, including investment operations, fund accounting, portfolio management, investor servicing, reporting, and data management.

  • Establish governance processes to assess, prioritize, and manage projects, enhancements, resource allocation, risks, dependencies, and business outcomes.

  • Drive operational transformation through process optimization, automation, analytics, AI-enabled solutions, and improved user experience across the technology landscape.

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Business Analysts, fostering accountability, collaboration, innovation, continuous improvement, and talent development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field.

  • MBA or relevant professional designation considered an asset.

  • 10+ years of experience in private markets, asset management, investment operations, technology, or related fields.

  • 5+ years in leadership roles managing teams and strategic initiatives.

  • Experience leading technology-enabled business transformation and change initiatives.

  • Strong understanding of private markets operations, accounting, investor servicing, and reporting.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills.

  • Knowledge of technology solutions supporting the private markets investment lifecycle.

  • Experience with platforms such as Investran, Dynamo, DealGen, SimCorp Dimension, Great Plains, or similar solutions.

  • Experience with reporting, analytics, workflow automation, and data management tools.

  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Copilot, and AI-enabled business solutions is desirable.

Salary range is expected to be between

$128,550.00 USD - $222,820.00 USD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
