The Amplify Supply Chain team is seeking a Director of Business Process Management (BPM) to lead large-scale improvements across our integrated supply chain and Central Services functions that support K-12 Print Publishing. This role will be critical in advancing business processes that span not only our supply chain operations but also the central support teams that drive ongoing improvement and operational excellence.

The Director will leverage expertise in Lean Six Sigma, process analysis, and change management to build and standardize best practices that foster efficiency, collaboration, and strategic alignment across departments. The individual’s experience in publishing, manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, contracts, and supply chain, along with best practices, should be used to optimize and scale new and existing Supply Chain processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prioritize, coordinate, and strategize improvement efforts within manufacturing, warehousing, logistics, contracts, and across the supply chain for optimal impact

  • Lead and implement high-impact process improvement initiatives and develop frameworks and methodologies that strengthen process analysis, design, and continuous improvement within the Central Services and Supply Chain Teams.

  • Support other BPM Directors and provide thought leadership on BPM best practices, such as Lean Six Sigma and FMEA exercises, and guide teams through complex problem-solving and quality improvement projects.

  • Identify, document, and enhance cross-functional processes to ensure alignment with strategic business goals and maximize operational efficiency.

  • Monitor and report on project outcomes, ROI, and cost efficiencies, using data-driven insights to support continuous improvement efforts.

  • Collaborate with departments such as Finance, Inventory, and Customer Experience to ensure alignment on process enhancements and strategic initiatives.

  • Facilitate the implementation of Process Maturity Model (training and mentoring) across Supply Chain, cultivating a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence.

  • Lead large-scale, cross-functional supply chain projects that span multiple domains, ensuring alignment and seamless integration of processes across these areas.

  • Guide cross-functional teams in leveraging best practices and tools for process improvement, change management, and quality assurance to drive sustainable improvements across overlapping supply chain domains.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.

  • Minimum 10+ years of experience in distribution facilities and systems design (WMS or TMS) and logistics modeling.

  • Minimum 10 + years of strong project management skills with a proven track record of leading large-scale, cross-functional projects.

  • Demonstrated expertise in process improvement methodologies, including Lean Six Sigma.

  • Demonstrated skills in change management, process analysis, and data-driven decision-making.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, with experience guiding teams through change.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s or advanced degree in a relevant field.

  • Experience providing consulting services.

  • Certifications in supply chain operations (e.g., CPIM or CSCP).

  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Black Belt preferred) with demonstrable experience applying these methodologies to print and distribution processes.

  • Previous experience within the K-12 educational technology or publishing sector, with knowledge of the industry’s unique challenges and opportunities.

  • Exceptional leadership skills, with experience fostering collaboration in dynamic, cross-functional environments.

What we offer:

The gross salary range for this role is $140,000 - $156,000. This role is eligible to earn an annual discretionary bonus that rewards individual and company performance.
