The Director, BD – M&A and Divestments is responsible for driving Dr. Reddy’s inorganic growth agenda in the India market by identifying, evaluating, and executing high‑impact M&A opportunities across brands, portfolios, novel technologies, companies, and strategic alliances, while also maximizing value through the divestment of non‑core assets in line with the organization’s strategic priorities. The role leads end‑to‑end deal processes—including opportunity screening, commercial and financial analysis, valuation, due diligence, risk assessment, negotiation, and closure—and ensures seamless post‑transaction integration and transition support. It also involves developing strategic alliances by building senior‑level relationships, aligning internal stakeholders, structuring mutually beneficial partnership models, and managing cross‑functional diligence and contract negotiations. The position requires strong business acumen, financial modelling knowledge, understanding of regulatory, medical, quality, commercial, and supply chain concepts, and the ability to collaborate effectively within a matrix organization.
MBA or CA with 6–10 years of experience in M&A within the Pharma sector or in Consulting firms, with strong and proven experience in executing M&A deals and the ability to confidently represent the organization in front of bankers, investors, advisors, and C‑suite level internal and external stakeholders
