RES is seeking a Director, Bank Development to lead and support the successful development and delivery of mitigation bank projects across an assigned territory. This position can sit anywhere in the South East, including Tennessee, Georgia, North Carolina.
In this role, you will serve as a portfolio-level leader for complex, multi-year projects, partnering closely with Project Managers, General Managers, Client Solutions, Operations, FP&A, and other cross-functional teams. You will help guide projects from early feasibility and development strategy through planning, execution, financial oversight, reporting, and delivery.
This is a highly collaborative leadership role for someone who enjoys building structure, coaching project teams, solving complex delivery challenges, and connecting market opportunity with strong project execution. This role gives you the opportunity to influence the full lifecycle of mitigation bank development, from evaluating new opportunities and supporting feasibility work to helping PMs build strong project plans and deliver projects successfully. You will play a key role in strengthening project management practices across your territory, creating consistency, improving tools, and helping teams make better decisions around scope, schedule, budget, risk, and resources.
You will also have the chance to coach and mentor Project Managers, helping them grow their capabilities while supporting projects that create meaningful ecological outcomes.
As Director, Bank Development, you will serve as a portfolio-level leader for complex, multi-year mitigation bank projects across your assigned territory. You will partner with sales teams and opportunity Project Managers to support technical proposals, assess project feasibility, and define budgets, schedules, staffing plans, resource needs, and key milestones. You will help PMs build strong project models and management plans, including work breakdown structures, communication plans, scope management plans, quality plans, risk management plans, procurement plans, reporting requirements, contracts, and sales assumptions.
In the course of the project lifecycle, you will meet regularly with PMs to review project status, manage critical issues, reinforce reporting expectations, and provide guidance on change control. You will coordinate closely with FP&A, General Managers, Client Solutions Managers, Operations Managers, PMs, and other support functions to keep projects moving and drive successful implementation. You will also help lead bank development strategy work, including market evaluation, opportunity conversion, bookings strategy, and project delivery optimization.
A significant part of your role will involve reviewing project financial performance, including budgets, percent complete, revenue, margin, cash, forecasts, and budget adjustments. You will evaluate projects through regulatory, technical, financial, and operational lenses to support sound go/no-go decisions. You will also introduce new practices, tools, training, and programs that strengthen PM capability, promote consistent project management discipline across the territory, and support PMs as a mentor, coach, and internal partner.
