
The Director, Supply Chain AssetProtectionis responsible forleading and managing all Asset Protection strategies and programs across Nordstrom’sSupply Chain, includingDistribution and Fulfillment Centers, andthe protection of assets to and from location sites This role ensures the safety and security of company assets, people, and facilities while driving shortage reduction, compliance, and operational excellence. The Director will partner with Supply Chain leadership and cross-functional teams to implement best practices, manage investigations, and oversee physical security systems.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Strategic Leadership
Develop and execute Asset Protection strategiesacross allSupply Chain networks, includingdistribution centers, fulfillment centers,and transportationnetworks. Develop and execute strategies to addressshortage reduction, facility security, fraud prevention, investigations,cargotheft,,and compliance.
Align AP initiatives with Nordstrom’s operational goals and collaborate withboth Supply Chain Leadership andAP leadershipfor consistency across the enterprise.
Manage Supply Chain AP budgets and capital projects, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to plan.
Operational Oversight
Oversee physical security systems (alarms, CCTV, card access) and coordinate third-party security guard services.
Design and implement security systems for new facilities and upgrades for existing sites.
Conduct comprehensive facility audits and visits; review findings with leadership and implement corrective actions.
Talent Development
Lead talent strategy for Supply Chain AP teams, including recruitment, succession planning, and leadership development.
Provide coaching and training to AP leaders and facility teams to strengthen investigative and compliance capabilities.
Investigations & Compliance
Direct internal and external investigations related to theft, fraud, and workplace incidents.
Ensure proper documentation and case management;maintaincompliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Partner with law enforcement and government agencies on criminal cases and compliance matters.
Collaboration & Communication
Build strong partnerships with Operations, HR, Inventory Control, and other cross-functional teams.
Maintain open communication channels to share updates on technology improvements, security enhancements, and program changes.
Navigate through the organization to ensure work isresourcedand barriers are removed for teams to properly execute strategic priorities, with a focus on data-driven decision-making.

QUALIFICATIONS:
10+yearsprogressive experience in Asset Protection, Security, or Law Enforcement.
5+ years in multi-site leadership roles within Supply Chain or Distribution environments.
Bachelor’s degreerequired;Master’sdegree preferred.
Strategic, operational, and interpersonal skillsdemonstratingbroadexpertiseinAsset Protection, multi-unitmanagementand internal theft resolution.
Wicklander/ZulawskiBasic Interview Certification.
Experience with workplace violence prevention and business continuity planning.
Familiarity withlogistics, inventory accuracy, and shortage control programs.
Previousexception reporting experience.
Proficiencyin Microsoft Officesuite ofapplications.
Ability to travel up to 50–75%.
Flexible schedule, including occasional weekends.

$175,000.00 - $275,000.00 AnnualThis position may be eligible for performance-based incentives/bonuses.
