About the Team

The Global Customer Operations (GCO) Strategy and Planning team at Workday is responsible for leading our go-to-market (GTM) strategy development and integrated business planning and performance management across GTM functions. We transform ideas into decisions to accelerate growth, deliver high-priority strategic initiatives, and drive the mid-to-long term evolution of our GTM model.

We drive new GTM concepts from inception to commercialisation, address sophisticated business problems, and collaborate cross-functionally with leaders across Workday for strategy design and execution. Increasingly, this includes defining how we bring Agentic offerings to market and how AI capabilities show up in our GTM motions, customer engagement, and partner ecosystem.

About the Role

As the APAC GTM Strategy Director, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the APAC GCO Leadership team, owning the regional go-to-market strategy and helping build alignment and consensus on strategic priorities. You will play a critical role in driving our GTM Strategy forward to bring the power of the Workday platform to our customers and partners. You will work cross-functionally across all levels of the organisation, support design and execution of high-impact strategic initiatives and ensure accountability for results across the organisation. You will be responsible for translating global priorities into local execution plans and will partner cross-functionally to drive sustainable growth across the APAC region.

Experience in high-growth technology, SaaS, or platform businesses is strongly preferred. If you have a passion for driving strategy and execution across the full lifecycle of a GTM function and experience owning or driving GTM strategy in a regional or international context, we'd love to hear from you!

About You

Responsibilities:

  • Own the end-to-end APAC GTM strategy across the Global Customer Operations team, bringing together functional plans into a cohesive plan for the region
  • Translate global company strategy into clear, actionable, impactful regional plans
  • Define market entry, expansion, and prioritisation strategies across APAC, accounting for the region's diverse and fast-evolving markets (e.g., ANZ, ASEAN, India, Japan, Korea, Greater China)
  • Partner closely with the APAC leadership teams to drive execution of the growth plans and be the thought partner to regional leadership
  • Regularly collect and listen to "voice of the field" feedback to refine the strategy and execution of future initiatives
  • Navigate varying market maturity levels, regulatory environments, and go-to-market motions across APAC sub-regions to tailor strategic recommendations accordingly

Basic Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in strategy, go-to-market, business operations, consulting, or related roles

Other Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of B2B go-to-market models (Enterprise, Mid-market, SMB)
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence senior stakeholders across areas that are not under direct control
  • Ability to deliver results with minimal guidance and able to progress in the face of ambiguity, embracing high-value stretch goals to drive positive change
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into clear strategic recommendations
  • Excellent communication and storytelling skills
  • Experience working across APAC markets with an understanding of regional nuances (cultural, linguistic, and business-practice diversity across the region)
  • Experience partnering closely with Sales, Services, Product, and Marketing teams
  • Consulting or strategy background a plus
  • Comfort operating across multiple time zones and travel as needed across the APAC region

Our Approach to Flexible Work

With Flex Work, we’re combining the best of both worlds: in-person time and remote. Our approach enables our teams to deepen connections, maintain a strong community, and do their best work. We know that flexibility can take shape in many ways, so rather than a number of required days in-office each week, we simply spend at least half (50%) of our time each quarter in the office or in the field with our customers, prospects, and partners (depending on role). This means you'll have the freedom to create a flexible schedule that caters to your business, team, and personal needs, while being intentional to make the most of time spent together. Those in our remote "home office" roles also have the opportunity to come together in our offices for important moments that matter.
