Broadridge is seeking an experienced Director, Sales to drive new business growth across the Buy-Side Alternatives market, with a focus on hedge funds, private credit managers, and other alternative asset managers.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this individual will be a senior member of the sales organization responsible for originating, developing, and closing complex enterprise opportunities. We are looking for a high-energy, driven sales professional who combines a strong track record in financial technology sales with deep knowledge of the alternative investment management industry and an established network across the buy-side community.

Broadridge offers a broad suite of portfolio management, order management, trading, compliance, risk, data, and middle-office technology and services designed to support alternative asset managers across the investment lifecycle. Our solutions help clients modernize their operating models, improve scalability and control, and focus resources on their core investment activities.

The successful candidate will understand the technology and operational environments of sophisticated alternative asset managers and be able to engage credibly with CIOs, COOs, CTOs, CFOs, Heads of Operations, Trading, Technology, and other senior stakeholders. They will take a consultative approach to understanding a prospect's business, investment strategies, technology stack, operating model, and strategic priorities and position Broadridge's capabilities accordingly.

This is a highly collaborative role working across Sales, Product Specialists, Sales Engineering, Product, and Service teams. Success requires an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to create pipeline, develop senior relationships, navigate complex buying organizations, and lead sophisticated enterprise sales cycles from origination through close.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a strategic territory plan to drive new business across hedge funds, private credit managers, and other alternative asset managers.
• Consistently originate new opportunities through an established industry network, targeted prospecting, executive engagement, referrals, conferences, industry relationships, and in-person client meetings.
• Build and maintain a robust pipeline capable of delivering against quarterly and annual revenue targets.
• Lead complex enterprise sales cycles from origination and discovery through solution design, executive presentations, business case development, commercial negotiation, and contract execution.
• Conduct consultative discovery to understand a prospect's investment strategies, operating model, technology environment, business challenges, growth objectives, and strategic priorities.
• Position Broadridge's technology and services as part of a broader client operating model rather than as standalone point solutions.
• Develop relationships with senior executives and key decision makers, including C-suite, investment, operations, trading, technology, and finance leadership.
• Understand each prospect's organizational structure, decision-making process, key stakeholders, competitive landscape, budget, and buying criteria to develop an effective pursuit strategy.
• Collaborate with Product Specialists, Sales Engineers, Product, Services, and other Broadridge teams to develop compelling solutions for complex client requirements.
• Develop account-based strategies for priority prospects and coordinate internal resources to accelerate opportunities and drive deals to closure.
• Maintain strong knowledge of Broadridge's full solution suite, relevant market trends, and the competitive landscape across alternative investment technology and services.
• Represent Broadridge at industry conferences, networking events, consultant meetings, and other forums to expand relationships and strengthen Broadridge's presence within the alternatives community.
• Maintain disciplined pipeline management, opportunity documentation, and accurate forecasting within CRM.
• Consistently achieve or exceed annual sales and revenue targets.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of enterprise sales experience, including significant experience selling financial technology, software, or technology-enabled services.
• 8+ years of experience selling FinTech/SaaS solutions into the buy-side, with demonstrated success across hedge funds, private credit, and/or alternative asset management.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding significant enterprise software sales quotas and closing complex, multi-stakeholder transactions.
• Deep understanding of the alternative investment management ecosystem, including the workflows, operating models, technology environments, and business challenges facing hedge funds and private credit managers.
• Strong understanding of investment management technology, ideally including portfolio management, order management/trading, compliance, risk, accounting, data, and/or middle-office operations.
• Established network of relationships across the hedge fund, private credit, and broader alternative asset management community.
• Demonstrated ability to originate opportunities independently and build pipeline through proactive business development.
• Proven ability to establish credibility and develop strategic relationships with C-level and senior business, investment, operations, and technology executives.
• Experience navigating complex enterprise buying processes involving multiple stakeholders, competing priorities, and long sales cycles.
• Strong consultative and solution-selling capabilities with the ability to connect technology capabilities to a client's business and operating objectives.
• Excellent executive presence, communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-management skills.
• Highly collaborative with the ability to effectively orchestrate resources across Sales, Product, Presales, Services, and senior leadership.
• Self-starter with strong accountability, attention to detail, and disciplined territory, pipeline, and time management.
• Willingness to travel regularly for prospect meetings, industry events, conferences, and other business development activities.

Preferred Experience

• Direct experience selling portfolio management, order management, trading, compliance, risk, accounting, data, or middle-office solutions to alternative asset managers.
• Experience selling both enterprise software and managed or outsourced services.
• Knowledge of the distinct operating models and technology requirements of hedge funds and private credit managers, including multi-asset and complex investment strategies.
• Experience positioning broader enterprise platforms and operating models involving multiple products, workflows, and stakeholders.
• Existing relationships with alternative asset managers, industry consultants, service providers, prime brokers, fund administrators, and other market participants that influence technology decisions.
• Experience competing against established investment management technology providers and successfully differentiating enterprise solutions in complex evaluations.

Compensation Range: The salary range for this position is between $125,000.00- $140,000.00 USD.
