For our German organization, we are currently looking for a Director Air & Ocean Germany (m/f/d)
Your Role
As Director Air & Ocean Germany, you are responsible for the overall performance, development and strategic direction of CEVA’s Air & Ocean business across Germany. You will lead the further development of the organisation, drive sustainable growth, and continuously improve profitability, productivity and customer satisfaction.
The role operates in a complex, international matrix environment and works closely with senior leadership as well as regional and global stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities
Own and lead the Air & Ocean organisation in Germany with full accountability for strategy, performance and results
Hold full P&L responsibility and ensure the financial performance of the business
Own and further develop strategic customer relationships, with a strong focus on Key Account Management and Product Development
Drive business growth by expanding the customer portfolio in high-potential and future-oriented industries
Lead new customer acquisition initiatives and the development of strategic trade lanes
Increase profitability and productivity through operational excellence, standardisation and continuous improvement initiatives
Ensure high service quality standards to achieve strong customer satisfaction and long-term loyalty
Identify evolving customer requirements and translate them into competitive, value-adding products and services
Build and foster a performance-driven leadership culture focused on accountability, collaboration and people development
Advance digitalisation, process optimisation and efficiency initiatives across the organisation
Work closely with global and regional stakeholders within the CEVA and CMA CGM matrix organisation
Your Profile
Extensive leadership experience within freight forwarding or integrated logistics environments, ideally covering Air and Ocean operations
Proven track record of building, transforming and growing comparable business units
Strong commercial mindset with solid expertise in sales, customer development and P&L management
Experience working in complex, international matrix and transformation environments
Ability to manage high complexity and successfully lead multiple initiatives in parallel
Inspiring leadership style with a strong focus on team engagement, empowerment and performance
Strategic thinker with a hands-on, pragmatic execution approach
Excellent stakeholder management, communication and influencing skills
Background in senior roles such as Head of Business Unit, Branch Manager, Managing Director or Country Manager
Fluent in German and English; additional European language skills are an advantage
