The Datacenter Integration (DCI) Procurement team plays a critical role in enabling predictable delivery of capacity across a rapidly expanding global datacenter portfolio.
We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented leader to serve as Director AI Procurement AMERS, responsible for leading procurement execution across both Build and Lease datacenter delivery models throughout the Americas region. This leader will oversee a high-performing team managing complex, fast-paced procurement operations supporting AI and Commercial Cloud growth.
This role requires a unique blend of strategic thinking, operational rigor, supplier engagement, cross-functional partnership, and executive communication. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, drives clarity through data and governance, and can lead teams through rapid scale and evolving business priorities.

This role is located either in one or all hub locations - Atlanta, GA, Redmond, WA, San Antonio, TX or Phoenix, AZ. Relocation support will be provided, and successful candidates must relocate or reside within 50 miles of the hub office location. This role is eligible for hybrid work.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Portfolio Leadership & Execution
Lead procurement execution across the Americas datacenter portfolio spanning both Build and Lease delivery models.
Drive predictable execution of procurement milestones aligned to Ready for Service (RFS), RNI, and overall capacity delivery objectives.
Oversee procurement operations supporting critical datacenter integration categories
Ensure procurement activities are proactively managed to mitigate schedule, supply, commercial, and execution risks.
Cross-Functional Partnership
Partner closely with Engineering, Construction, Project Controls, Commissioning, Finance, Legal, and Category Management teams.
Build strong operating rhythms with stakeholders to enable early risk identification, issue resolution, and rapid decision-making.
Drive accountability across complex dependency chains involving lessors, EPCs, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Supplier & Commercial Management
Support strategic supplier engagement and escalation management across key OEMs, distributors, and integration partners.
Drive supplier performance improvements focused on On-Time Delivery (OTD), Quality, Responsiveness , Capacity readiness, Forecast alignment
Partner with category teams on sourcing strategies, capacity planning, and commercial negotiations.
Operational Excellence
Lead KPI and ROB (Rhythm of Business) management for the Americas procurement organization.
Utilize dashboards and data-driven insights to manage procurement health, predictability, cycle times, spend, and delivery performance.
Drive process standardization and continuous improvement initiatives that improve scalability and execution consistency.
Leadership & Team Development
Lead and develop a high-performing regional procurement team in a dynamic, high-growth environment.
Foster a culture of accountability, agility, inclusion, collaboration, and customer obsession.
Coach team members to balance strategic thinking with disciplined operational execution.
Create clarity and alignment during periods of rapid change and business acceleration

Microsoft Cloud Background Check: This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
Additional or preferred qualifications:
Sourcing and Category Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $130,900.00 - $277,200.00 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $165,600.00 - $303,600.00 per year.
