Position Overview

Are you a technology-minded tax professional who enjoys improving processes, challenging the status quo

and working across disciplines? We are looking for a Direct Tax Manager who can combine strong

corporate income tax expertise with practical leadership, sound judgment and a continuous-improvement

mindset.

This permanent role will join our global tax organization and support corporate income tax provision and

compliance activities across EMEA, Canada and Latin America. The Direct Tax Manager will take

manager-level ownership of assigned entities and deliverables, work closely with Finance and Accounting

teams, and coordinate external advisors. The successful candidate will promote accountability,

collaboration and high-quality execution while helping the team adopt efficient processes and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Own and oversee corporate income tax compliance for assigned entities across EMEA, Canada and Latin America, including tax returns, transfer pricing forms and related supporting documentation.
• Manage external advisors, establish clear deliverables and timelines, provide complete information, review work for technical accuracy and ensure filings are completed on time.
• Prepare and review advance and final tax payment calculations, coordinate approvals and support timely settlement of liabilities.
• Lead the preparation and review of current and deferred tax provision calculations and tax notes for statutory financial statements in partnership with Accounting team.
• Support quarterly and annual consolidated tax reporting under US GAAP, including tax provision calculations, return-to-provision calculations and deferred tax asset and liability reconciliations.
• Maintain strong review discipline and documentation across monthly, quarterly and annual deliverables, including appropriate evidence for controls and audit requirements.
• Monitor corporate income tax law and regulatory developments, assess potential impacts and coordinate implementation of new requirements.
• Lead or support tax audits by coordinating data collection, reviewing technical positions and responses, and working with advisors as appropriate.
• Drive process improvements, standardization and automation across tax compliance and reporting, including the effective use of systems, trackers and data tools.
• Support tax planning initiatives and cross-functional projects.

Minimum qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant direct tax experience gained in a multinational corporation, large accounting firm or tax consulting practice.
• Strong corporate income tax provision and compliance experience across multiple jurisdictions;experience in EMEA and Canada corporate taxation is highly desirable.
• Professional qualification, such as CTA, ACA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent.
• Working knowledge of current and deferred tax accounting; US GAAP tax reporting experience is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage external advisors, concurrent deadlines and stakeholder relationships.• Strong analytical, organizational and prioritization skill's
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and a proven ability to operate cross-functionally within a diverse, global team.
• Comfort with technology and a track record of improving processes; experience with SAP, LongviewTax Provision and AI tools is a plus.

Salary transparency

Salary is one part of Autodesk’s competitive compensation package. For Ireland based roles, we expect a starting base salary between 68,000 EUR and 99,000 EUR. Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, our compensation package may include annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
