Job Description

SequelCare of Maine, established in 2010, helps children, teens, adults and families with their behavioral and home health needs. We have offices in Yarmouth, Bangor and Searsport and serve clients throughout the state. We are part of a national organization, Sequel Youth and Family Services, and are growing agency dedicated to the professional development of our programs and staff. Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) work in our group residential homes with our adult clients that have developmental disabilities. DSPs are an important part of our team and support our clients in developing a predictable routine and daily structure. As a DSP you will work with our clients, their families and other service providers to promote independence, develop daily living skills, provide direct care and administer medication if you have your CRMA. You will assist with housekeeping, personal hygiene, transportation, meal prep, grocery shopping, and take clients into the community for outings. We are looking for compassionate and caring people with a sense of humor and dedication to join our team.

This is a wonderful job for college students or anyone requiring a flexible schedule.

Requirements:
• Education- High School diploma or GED
• Must have strong Communication and computer skills
• Certification: Must obtain or have an existing DSP Provisional Certificate and Certified Residential Medication Aide Certificate CCRMA). If needed, we provide DSP and CRMA training at no cost to you.
• Experience: One year of experience with adults in a supervised setting or relevant life experience
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Founded in 1999, Sequel Youth & Family Services is a leading national behavioral health organization that develops and operates a broad continuum of treatment programs for children, adolescents, adults, and families with severe behavioral health, emotional, and physical challenges. Our diverse client population struggling with severe behavioral, addiction, psychiatric, emotional, or conduct disorders, as well as autism and other comorbidities.
