What You'll Do

As a Transportation DSP, you will

• Safely transport individuals to and from day programs, employment sites, and community locations.
• Assist individuals with boarding, exiting, wheelchair securement, and seatbelt use.
• Promote independence, dignity, and inclusion during transportation services.
• Support individuals in maintaining positive social interactions and community participation.
• Maintain appropriate supervision and ensure participant safety at all times.
• Communicate transportation needs, service concerns, and individual support needs.
• Operate agency vehicles safely and professionally in all weather conditions.
• Complete required documentation and training requirements.
• Represent Siffrin's mission, values, and commitment to excellence.

Qualifications

Required

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT physical.
• Ability to pass criminal background, driving record, drug, and alcohol screening requirements.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to complete required training and maintain certifications.

Preferred

• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities
• Experience in transportation, caregiving, healthcare, customer service, education, or human services
• Wheelchair transportation experience

Physical Requirements

• Lift, transfer, push, and maneuver up to 50 pounds.
• Push wheelchairs and assist with mobility equipment.
• Bend, twist, reach, and assist passengers as needed.
• Work in various weather conditions while providing transportation services.
