Direct Support Professional - Weekend Position

Make a Difference in Someone's Life Every Weekend

Location: Ridley Park, PA
Schedule: Part-Time | Friday - Saturday, 8 am - 4pm
Pay Rate: $17.50/hour
Program: Residential Habilitative Program

About the Role:

Are you looking for meaningful weekend work where you can truly make an impact? As a Direct Support Professional, you'll help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities live fulfilling, independent lives in a supportive community home environment. No experience necessary—just bring compassion, patience, and a positive attitude!

What You'll Do:

Empowerment & Support:

  • Help individuals work toward their personal independence goals
  • Provide coaching, guidance, and encouragement following personalized care plans
  • Serve as a positive role model and trusted companion
  • Support individuals in developing daily living skills

Daily Activities & Community Engagement:

  • Plan and participate in engaging activities and recreational programs
  • Accompany residents on community outings, appointments, and social activities
  • Transport individuals safely to various destinations
  • Help create a warm, home-like atmosphere

Personal Care & Household Support:

  • Assist with personal care needs as required
  • Help with meal preparation and light housekeeping duties
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment

Health & Safety:

  • Monitor and support medication administration and health needs
  • Implement approved behavior support plans when needed
  • Respond appropriately to any safety concerns
  • Complete required documentation and progress reports

What We're Looking For:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license held for at least 3 years with no more than 3 points on driving record
  • PA clearances (Child Abuse, Criminal, FBI fingerprinting)
  • Compassionate, patient, and reliable personality
