Advocates, Inc. is seeking a Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to support a friendly and busy young man with a developmental disability. He is currently looking for someone to assist with working on his goals both at home and in his community.
Goals include:
Independent living skills – grocery shopping, cooking, personal care tasks
Health & fitness – using the gym, swimming, fitness classes, walking
Seeking a DSP who is reliable, enthusiastic, creative, and active. Related experience working with individuals with disabilities is preferred but not required. Please respond with resume or summary of experience.
Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each day’s times, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address.
Hours/Days of Work:
Saturdays / Sundays, (12pm - 6pm)
Pay rate: $24 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.
Location: Oswego, NY
