Compensation is current rate of pay plus $1.00 more an hour or $17.25 for new hires.
The Direct Support Professional II (DSP) is responsible for assisting individuals residing in a residential arrangement. The DSP II supports individuals and assists them in gaining social skills and other skills necessary to meet goals plans, or those skills necessary for independent living. The DSP II supports the needs of the facility and assists with ensuring the facility is a clean and safe "home-like" environment. This position ensures that the facility meets all of the rules, regulations, laws, codes, and contractual obligations required by the facility. This position supports residents by assisting residents on doing activities of daily living for residents. These activities may include tasks such as cooking, cleaning, bathing, providing medications, transportation, arranging or supporting leisure activities, etc. This position demonstrates the highest level of proficiency when operating with individuals in the Community Homes Program. This position maintains Medication Administration Practicum Observer certification. This position acts as an expert communicator and performs and documents Medication Administration Practicum observations. This position is supervised by the Program Specialist - Community Homes.
The hours for this position will be an existing first or second shift schedule in the residential site.
