Job Title: Direct Support Professional (1:1 Support)

Location: Burlington, MA

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM (30 hours per week)

Pay Rate: $23.50-$24.50 per hour, based on current CPR/First Aid and MAP certifications.

Northeast Arc is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide 1:1 direct care and support to an individual in the Burlington area. This role is dedicated to supporting one individual with daily activities, personal goals, skill development, community inclusion, and overall quality of life.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide individualized 1:1 direct care and support in home and community settings.
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care, grooming, mobility support, and other individualized needs.
  • Support the individual in achieving personal goals, building independence, and developing life skills.
  • Encourage community participation, social engagement, and meaningful activities.
  • Build a respectful, positive, and empowering relationship with the individual served.
  • Provide transportation to appointments, recreational activities, and community outings.
  • Administer medications in accordance with Northeast Arc policies and MAP regulations.
  • Complete required documentation and reports in accordance with agency policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Support medical appointments and coordinate appropriately with nursing staff and other team members.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Human Services experience preferred.
  • Experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
  • Valid Massachusetts Driver's License required.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and provide physical assistance as needed.
  • Current CPR/First Aid and MAP certifications preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain all required certifications.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Passion for supporting individuals in achieving their goals and living meaningful lives.
