Job Description

We are seeking qualified and caring people to work as Direct Support Professionals (DSP) at our group homes located in Monmouth County (Farmingdale, Tinton Falls, and Wall Township, NJ). Professional experience working with developmentally disabled populations, experience as a CNA, home health aide or caregiver can all qualify as experience relevant to this field. Pay rates are determined based on that experience.

Successful applicants will attend paid training to obtain required certifications. No experience is necessary, learn on-the-job. Pay rates are determined based on that experience, starting at $20.75

Responsibilities:

  • Protect and honor the rights of people with disabilities
  • Create a supportive and clean home environment
  • Support skill acquisition and enhancement as outlined in individual service plans (ISPs).
  • Assist with daily living tasks and ensure cleanliness and organization.
  • Administer medications and follow healthcare protocols under nurse supervision.
  • Document client progress and goals
  • Engage individuals in age-appropriate recreational and therapeutic activities.
  • Safely transport individuals as needed
  • Work independent or with co-workers to enhance the growth of individuals served
  • Participate in ongoing professional training

Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Reliable transportation
  • Valid auto insurance and driver’s license
  • High school diploma or equivalency
