We are currently seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP I) to join our Day Services team.

As a DSP, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities by providing support, encouragement, and guidance as they work toward greater independence. You’ll help individuals build life skills, participate in their communities, pursue their goals, and experience the everyday successes that make life rewarding.

Examples of duties

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate, person-centered support with daily living activities.
  • Encourage participation in daily activities, community experiences, and opportunities that promote independence and personal growth.
  • Monitor individuals’ health and well-being and assist with health care-related needs as appropriate.
  • Accompany and support individuals during scheduled medical and community appointments.
  • Accurately document services provided, activities, and relevant observations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support the needs and goals of the individuals served.

Qualifications

Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. (Hours may vary based on program and individual needs.)

We are currently recruiting for a full-time position within our Day Support Program, providing meaningful support and opportunities for individuals to build skills, pursue their goals, and participate in their communities.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Must have the ability to work effectively in a day services setting while supporting individuals in a safe, engaging, and person-centered environment.
  • Must maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Must be able to perform the physical requirements of the position, including bending, stooping, lifting, pushing, pulling, reaching, and walking for extended periods.
  • Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
  • A valid driver’s license is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
DMV record must be submitted with application.
