Job Description

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – $17.03-$19.00-/hr

Pro Care by Abound Health is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in New Haven, MI to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD).

This is meaningful, hands-on work where you help someone build independence, confidence, and live a fuller life. If you're compassionate, reliable, and want a role that actually makes a difference, we’d love to connect.

Available Shifts:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM

    (Schedules may vary based on client needs)

What You’ll Do:

As a DSP, you’ll support individuals in their everyday routines while helping them grow and make their own choices:

  • Assist with daily routines like meals, hygiene, and household tasks
  • Encourage independence and decision-making
  • Support community involvement and positive social interactions
  • Monitor safety and teach safety awareness
  • Help individuals recognize triggers and build coping skills
  • Create a supportive, positive environment
  • Follow care plans and document services

You’ll receive training on each client so you can provide personalized, meaningful care.

What We’re Looking For:

  • At least 18 years old
  • Reliable transportation
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organized with good time management
  • Willing to assist with personal care when needed

Experience is a plus, but not required — we’ll train you.
