Job Description

Purpose- Driven Work Starts Here - Empower Lives. Build Futures.
Monday - Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM - No Evenings Weekends

Make a difference every day by helping adults with disabilities build confidence, independence, life skills, and meaningful community connections.

We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and energetic individuals to join our Adult Day Services team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP). In this rewarding role, you will work alongside adults with disabilities in community-based and program settings, supporting them in learning new skills, exploring interests, building relationships, participating in recreational activities, and achieving personal goals.

This is more than a caregiving role — it is an opportunity to empower people to live fulfilling lives while building genuine relationships and creating positive experiences every day.

What You’ll Do

As a DSP in Day Services, you will:

  • Support adults with disabilities in community engagement, recreation, volunteer opportunities, learning activities, and skill development
  • Encourage independence by teaching daily living, social, and work-related skills
  • Assist individuals in reaching personal goals outlined in their Individual Service Plans (ISP)
  • Provide support in community outings, leisure activities, and individualized learning experiences
  • Help individuals build confidence, communication skills, and meaningful relationships
  • Promote choice, dignity, inclusion, and person-centered support in all interactions
  • Support transportation training and community access activities
  • Create a positive, welcoming, and engaging environment each day
  • Accurately document services, progress, and daily activities
  • Work collaboratively with a supportive team dedicated to improving lives

This Is a Physically Active Role

This job is ideal for someone who likes to stay moving and can handle physical demands safely and professionally.

You must be able to:

  • Stand, walk, move, and remain active for extended periods

  • Kneel on one knee or two and stand back up unassisted
  • Transition smoothly between standing, kneeling, squatting, and bending

  • Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs. using proper body mechanics

  • Assist with transfers and positioning as needed

  • Perform repetitive hand, wrist, and arm movements

  • React quickly and safely in dynamic situations

  • Use PPE when required (gloves, masks, gowns, etc.)

You’ll work both indoors and outdoors in active environments — no desk-bound days here.

Every day is different. One moment you may be helping someone learn a new skill, participate in a favorite activity, volunteer in the community, or achieve a milestone they have worked hard toward. The relationships you build and the impact you make can truly change lives — including your own.

If you are someone who enjoys helping others succeed, values meaningful work, and wants a career with purpose, this opportunity is for you.
