Advocates is seeking a creative and compassionate Mentor (DSP/1:1 support staff) to work with a gifted young woman with a developmental disability. In this critical role, you will help her in learning key independent living skills, teach her skills to communicate and interact with others, and assist her in experiencing social, recreational, and physical fitness opportunities in the community. The ideal candidate for the DSP position will have effective communication and leadership skills, patience, and strong organizational skills. Please respond with your resume or summary of experience.
Candidate must possess a keen sense of attention to detail, especially when electronically logging each days time, mileage, and service documentation. DSP must have a valid email address.
Hours and days of work:
Currently searching for 3 days Mon-Fri (10 AM - 2 PM)
Employee has the opportunity to choose which days, but the days of the week should be consistent.
Full-time opportunities may be available.
Pay rate: $19 per hour when providing direct support. The hourly rate for indirect/training is $16 per hour.
