Community Services, Inc. (CSI) is seeking compassionate, dedicated, and dependable Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join our team and help empower individuals with disabilities to live more independent, meaningful, and fulfilling lives.

As a DSP, you’ll make a meaningful difference every day by providing hands-on assistance, emotional support, and opportunities for community involvement. You’ll help the individuals we support pursue their personal goals, build confidence, develop greater independence, and participate fully in their communities—all while promoting dignity, respect, choice, and self-determination.

Your Role

Ultimately, your goal is to help the people you support feel and become as independent as possible while living their daily lives. You will provide support, encouragement, and guidance while respecting each person’s choices, abilities, goals, and individual needs. You will also:

• Support individuals with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, household routines, and community involvement.
• Encourage choice, decision-making, self-advocacy, and confidence in everyday activities.
• Assist individuals in developing and strengthening life skills that promote greater independence.
• Build positive, respectful relationships based on dignity, trust, and person-centered support.
• Help create safe, inclusive, and supportive environments both at home and in the community.
• Encourage and support participation in social, recreational, and community activities.
• Follow and help implement individualized support plans while accurately documenting progress and services provided.
• Communicate effectively with families, team members, and other professionals to promote consistent, coordinated support.
• Provide encouragement and assistance while respecting each person’s goals, preferences, abilities, and right to make choices about their own life.
• Complete all required daily documentation and record keeping accurately and in a timely manner.
• Follow all applicable regulations, organizational policies, procedures, and standards related to providing services and support to individuals with disabilities.

Minimum Qualifications: Minimum qualifications:

• Must be 18 years of age
• No experience, don’t worry – we’ll train you!
• Excellent problem-solving and interpersonal skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
• Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record preferred for day and swing positions
• Acceptable background check
