Job Location POUGHKEEPSIE, NY 12601 Salary Range $19.00 - $20.50 Hourly

DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL

We are seeking someone interested in a part time position assisting 2 young ladies in a supportive like apartment setting. Provide transportation, shopping trips, and other community activities.

Available shift: Saturday/Sunday

What is a Direct Support Professional (DSP)?

Our DSPs play an important role in the lives of people with intellectual or developmental disabilities who receive supports from Greystone Programs. You will engage in a variety of work activities that teach important life skills to help people enhance their independence, achieve personal goals, meet their healthcare needs, participate in life-enriching activities, be active in their local community and live their fullest life possible.

No previous experience is needed. We look for dependable, compassionate people who would enjoy helping others achieve goals and independence.

This is a job where you can share your hobbies and interests with others and engage in recreational activities with the people you support.

Typical tasks a DSP will do during the course of their shift include hands-on support and instruction, providing transportation using our vehicles, assisting people in maintaining their living environment, preparing meals, administering medication, using our computer systems to document the work you do and helping people enhance their communication skills.
