Job Summary and Qualifications
Areas of specialty:
The Direct Service & Abuse Supervisor will provide leadership and supervision to a team of direct service workers and abuse worker with respect to case management and planning, investigations of reported child maltreatment within agency's jurisdiction boundaries, along with their unit administrative assistant. They are responsible for service delivery, unit workload distribution, and implementation of all administrative, service and personnel policy and procedures. The Supervisor is responsible for staff being in compliance with federal and provincial child welfare legislation, regulations and standards; being responsible for ensuring the implementation of integrated service delivery from all clients receiving services from SCFS.
Duties & Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
Qualified candidates will be required to undergo a criminal record check, child abuse registry check, and a prior contact check as a condition of employment. Sagkeeng Community members and Indigenous candidates will be given preference and are encouraged to self-identify as being of Indigenous descent.

Sagkeeng First Nation established Sagkeeng Child & Family Services in 1978. Sagkeeng was one of the first Indigenous Child & Family Service agencies in Manitoba.
