Direct Sales Agent (DSA)
Location: Yaba, Lagos
Industry: Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) / Insurance
Department: Business Development
Reports To: Sales Associate / Sales Manager / Head, Business Development
Employment Type: Full-Time
Experience Level: Minimum of 1–2 Years

JOB OBJECTIVE

To drive revenue growth by actively marketing and selling HMO products to individuals and corporate clients. The role focuses on lead generation, client acquisition, and conversion through direct sales activities, contributing to the expansion of the company's customer base and market presence.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Sales & Business Development


  • Promote and sell HMO products and healthcare insurance services to individuals and corporate clients.

  • Identify and generate new business leads through field marketing, referrals, cold calls, and networking.

  • Actively pursue and convert sales opportunities to achieve assigned revenue targets.

  • Conduct market outreach campaigns to increase brand visibility and client acquisition.

2. Client Engagement & Relationship Management


  • Conduct client visits, presentations, and product demonstrations to prospective clients.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and repeat business.

  • Provide accurate product information and advisory support tailored to client needs.

  • Follow up consistently with prospects to ensure timely conversion and onboarding.

3. Sales Process & Documentation


  • Maintain proper and up-to-date documentation of all sales activities, client interactions, and pipeline progress.

  • Assist in onboarding new clients by ensuring accurate completion and submission of required documentation.

  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity reports to management.

  • Track and follow up on contract agreements, renewals, and client records.

4. Performance & Target Delivery


  • Meet and exceed assigned sales targets and performance metrics.

  • Monitor personal sales pipeline and conversion rates to ensure consistent performance.

  • Demonstrate accountability, discipline, and results-driven execution.

5. Compliance & Service Standards


  • Ensure adherence to company policies, service excellence standards, and regulatory requirements.

  • Maintain professionalism and integrity in all client interactions.

6. Additional Responsibilities


  • Support team initiatives and business development campaigns.

  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by the reporting manager or Head of Department.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS


  • Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc.) or Higher National Diploma (HND) from a recognized institution.

  • Minimum of 1–2 years' experience in sales, marketing, or a related role (preferably in HMO, insurance, or financial services).

  • Strong interest in sales, client acquisition, and business development.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work independently and meet sales targets in a fast-paced environment.

  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.

  • High level of energy, resilience, and self-motivation.
