We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Direct Product Analyst to join our Life & Health Subsidiary in Sydney.

About the role

Reporting directly to the Head of Direct Product & Pricing permanent role will be responsible for supporting the Head of Product & Pricing and the Direct Business Development Team with the ongoing monitoring, reporting and management of existing products, including the associated regulatory and compliance obligations (in particular, the Design & Distribution Obligations). This position will also be involved in the development of new product solutions in the Direct Business.

You can look forward to

• Supporting the ongoing monitoring, reporting and management of Direct insurance products.
• Monitoring product compliance requirements, including Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO), across new and existing products.
• Supporting product reviews and the implementation of regulatory changes impacting Direct products.
• Developing and maintaining product guidelines, processes and procedures.
• Reviewing and enhancing product team processes and reporting frameworks.
• Supporting the onboarding of new products through the established onboarding framework.
• Managing client relationships and responding to client enquiries in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to develop and launch new product solutions.
• Working closely with teams across Actuarial, Underwriting, Claims, Risk, Compliance and Operations.
• Contributing to a culture of strong risk management, governance and compliance.

You come equipped with

• At least 3 years' experience in the life insurance industry.
• A degree in Actuarial Studies (preferred but not essential) and progress towards FIAA qualification or equivalent.
• Experience with Design and Distribution Obligations (DDO) (preferred).
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills, including advanced Excel.
• Experience with, or a strong interest in, analytical, productivity and AI-enabled tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Python, R and Copilot.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills.
• The ability to recognise when issues should be escalated and involve others where required.
• Strategic thinking skills and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills.
• The ability to work independently while contributing effectively as part of a team.
• Professional integrity, sound judgement and a commitment to confidentiality.
• A curious and continuous improvement mindset, with an interest in leveraging data, technology and automation to improve outcomes.
